Looking Back

We started buying HRTFF for .03,.04 and sometimes .05 US way back in the day. 2017 offered a huge profit opportunity.
Some took money off the table, some let it ride. Even 2018 was decent. The rest is history and today we again face some hard
choices and realities. Lots of ups, many more downs. I'm still in for the ride. Good luck y'all.

I'm glad i'm not the only one along for the ride. At this point might aswell keep going. What i lost from harte i made with CNC . So hope this one also turns around ,,would be icing . But who knows now. GTLA

My apologies to those who are crying. This is no laughing matter.A lot of people are out a lot of money and if this ends up going south it isn't going to be pretty.Hope there is a solution.GLTA

i just dont' understand how a high grade mine cant' make a profit with gold performing so well.  how can management not get costs under control over a 2 year period is mind blowing, at this point i don't trust anything management says. we've been played.

Yup totally agree

Exactly. Management after management has been inept not at just cost control but almost everything related to managing a business. I'll leave it at that.

In and out for the past years and currently adding holdings.  It is high risk but no higher than previous times with HRT.   I am thinking the 3 Appian resignations were either to remove legal obligations or to facilitate a purchase. Roll the dice time once again on this horribly under-capitalized venture.

I heard that BNP will be calling the loan and forcing Harte into Bankrupcty and selling Harte to Appian.  3 appian board members resigned for underhanded strategic reasons to remove themselves from conflict of interest when vote is taken to liquidate Harte  Liquidation will be by way of asset purchase as apposed to share purchase leaving retail investors holding the bag empty bag ...more

The conflicts of interest didn't start recently. They go way back. If New Gold isn't going to fight this, shouldn't we ?

And you know this information how?

RedBaron your explaination makes sense. Harte is already in default to BNP, lender only given them waiver until July 30th, which was enough time for BNP to put BK sale deal together, at which point BNP forclose on mine and sell it to Appian for tidy profit. By buying mine out of forclosure from BNP, Appian save their equity at expense of all other equity holders. Appian probably lining up seasoned ...more

"for new owner who get to buy fully permitted and built mine in tier 1 jurisdiction for significant discount to cost of building new mine from scratch." This piece is why I can't see it being bankrupcy. The management team will sell for fifty cents on the dollar before they just let it go. Barrick or Kirkland with all their assets in the area would surely pick the resouce up for ...more

Hope so.

JAB I don't have any horse in the race but perhaps you can convince me that going long here at 5.5 cents will make me money...I can't see either KL or ABX interested in HRT because the resource is too small. Best price for any acquirer is from BK because of potential to get valuable gold mine asset for pennies on dollar. I am not a Canadian BK attorney but if BNP Paribas forclose on mine ...more

Same as my thoughts but we may be crediting Appian with more foxiness than they are capable of.. Anyway, avoiding the default looks tough to pull of. Its not just the loan repayment installment + periodic interest, there are other covenants that require cash. They knew it all along and only 3 months ago they got the 23+ M cash infusion. But this company has always been managed as if there is no ...more

Same opinion here around risk. The underlying value of ounces in the ground has been unchanged for several years. The company has always been poorly run and always been a significant risk as a complete loss of capital.  That being said there is no way that interest in the asset is zero. HRT would sell for 500M no problem so there would still be equity for shareholders in such a sale. Also ...more
