Maybe BP (et al) made the board an offer too good to refuse?  Might tie in with their latest deal (which seems obviously underpriced) and the fact that a 2nd farm-in partner for Nam was never announced, as promised.

No way MM is going to work for BP again, so he resigns???

Point being that thanks to robnhood, it appears that maybe a thousand buy orders were placed.  Could just chasing rumors, but I can't recall anyone here being remotely in the loop.
