Possibly trend in Harv's volume to take serious?

About 4-5 weeks before the last big deal was announced (Verano), there was a noticeable increase in volume (one big institution, probably) buying Harvest stock. From the daily average of 250k-350k there was a day where an extra couple of million suddenly appeared. For Harv, which is relatively low volume, this was a very big day.

The same happened about one month ago (April 18th - volume: 2.85m). It's a huge spike.

This would be the third time in a row THIS YEAR that a spike has appeared 4-5 weeks before a significant announcement, so I have just doubled up in the hope that I'm right.

I would like to add, just in case it's not completely obvious, that I'm not an expert trader (or any sort of trader) but I have an analytical background and the time to look into these sorts of things.

We just need Trump & Co to get some form of amicable agreement with the Chinese (over the trade war) and we could see Harv hit 15 within a month or two. I genuinely think it's going to happen, although I'm open to any other opinions.

How is harvest or any other US MSO effected by these tarrifs?

Many experts have commented on certain markets being influenced by certain negativity - events like the China trade disagreement. This market is definitely one. It's the negativity and uncertainty that seems to drive investors away.

I found a rotten apple in my fridge. I guess I should throw out the pork loin too. Why stop there, I have noodles in the cupboard too, toss 'em eh?

That makes no sense, in relation to my comments, at all. Feel free to disprove my thoughts or theories, as I would genuinely welcome any feedback that actually makes sense, but please avoid this drivel. Thanks!

It's called an anology - my point being people seem to be dumping their weed stocks (the pork loin) because they have a rotten apple in the fridge (US tarriffs). I dont see how any of these companies are even effected by the tariffs so I'm looking for justification. I want to know if the sell offs are irrational and just a momentary blip or are they somehow actually effected?

That's a good point. I've read an enormous amount regarding this theory (and it's a wildly accepted theory now), but I've yet to get an answer to your question, as I was wondering the same. There doesn't seem an awful lot of correlation between the trade wars and the pot business, so I believe it's more of a case of private and institutional investors believe that their ...more
