new cfo hire on hold?

The recently bumped-up VP Finance B Davison is now on BOD slate for upcoming AGM vote. Could read this that no new cfo in works. Davison being groomed from within. 
 For an 'early' stage co like imv, wouldn't a seasoned US cfo be needed. This job should be 24/7 scouring for $ investment, and be US centric. Does Davison have experience, contacts required. she propbably has not worked, developed finance relationships beyond HFX-TO corridor.
 Hope I/m wrong on this.

I agree. Her bio on the IMV webpage indicates she has a degree from a local university - certainly no ivy league - and that her experience appears to be largely focused within Atlantic Canada. Further, it appears not to be even in the fields of oncology or infectious disease. This is not even remotely in the range of what is needed and to be appointed to the board seems ridiculous. The Corporation is governed by the Canada Business Corporations Act (“CBCA”), which requires that at least 25 percent of directors be Canadian residents.
