As far as pubco's thats a good question. I would have to think ISH or Fire and Flower. ISH because of how nimble the franchise model is. FAF for the cash they have. As far as private retail dispensaries... OnePlant is already in both Canada and the US. With 2 dispensaries in Florida, like 6 or 7 in Ontario, and a handfull elsewhere. I would guess Fire and Flower will be the first to open internationally as well due to their cash position and Couche Tarde just exercised their right to further invest.

While I agree a franchise model is the most nimble, IMO pitting corporate owned versus franchise and picking just one or the other is not a good investment stratagy.  F&F is set up and with a solid plan, management and backing and investors there will do well there as well as here.  There is room for more than one business model in Canada.  As to a move to the US, the road is ...more

Couldnt agree more Cudjo. Would be next to impossible to do unless the company had prudent capital allocation, and was already approaching profitability. IAN has about 44 dispensaries in the US and quite a few grow locations, and were just about break even with maintenance and upkeep capex and inventory (Doing almost 30m a quarter as of Q4 2019).
