Everyone is talking store count... like it matters
The Retail Cannabis Space...
a) A cap on store count (75) = limited growth
b) Black market participants have no detterennts and make up over half of household expenditures
c) So many retail stores, like alberta, leads to loss of market share
d) Big competitors in the private sector
e) Price can't compete with black market prices because of the excise tax
f) Companies will need to raise a pile of money to continue expansion of stores while the company makes no money
So what are you buying when you buy a cannabis retailer?
You are buying X number of licenses. Larger companies are stock piling pot licenses for retail and production.
Aurora just divested Alcanna investment for $27.5M. Not a priority it seems.
Spirirtleaf has one advantage with a franchise model, but a company like Fire and Flower or One platn can franchsie just as easily.
I would also like to add that this ocmpany is in bed with Chuck. The street is against Chuck and investors will feel it when this ocmpany catches no bid and the "godfather of weed scam" is done.
Watch for big players to dominate the cannabis space like big tobacco and liquor.
