Margin Calls

With the large volume today is there any chance this is due to margin calls. Any margin accounts that have to be covered by the end of the month would have to be traded today in order to settle by month end.

What I don't know is if you could actually get margin on penny stocks.

No, as it would need to be at least $2. But, it all depends on the broker you use, but it may even be at a higher shr price. But in general, you cannot borrow on something at this price. Ppl could still be selling to cover their calls, which I'd say would be significant the last couple of days. I cannot believe it hit single digits. No insiders have sold, right? ...more
