International diversification

What's happening in the US (arbitrarily canceling permitted projects) and Canada (freezing accounts, canceling insurance, etc) means that mining related companies must operate in multiple jurisdictions. I foresee mergers based not on economics, but on geography. Many or most jurisdictions are riskier than in the past, but the risks aren't necessarily correlated, which means that tie-ups will reduce overall risk. It will happen.
