This is off the company web site about they and partners are building the very first HTL plant in Ecuador.The contract has three phases. The first two phases are for appraisal and evaluation of the field's production capability and the crude-oil characteristics, as well as for the construction of the first HTL plant. Cabrera slipped up without  the word " potential " about that particular partner presented on site.....,  " potential " is just a statutory meaning in this case....to be precise, " chosen " is widely understood by all over there.... the entity will ink the dot line sooner than the market anticipated..... My take is CNOOC

CNOOC China is definetly on the buying side of oil companies these days. Prime Minister Steven Harper has approved the Nexan deal and it is funny that deal has not yet been finalized .. yet the Canadian Gov't has gave their blessing to any deal signed before hand. Is that anyway to run a Government? makes me wonder who is running our country.. because it is not Steven Harper or he would not of ...more

Any  partnership picked by Ivahoe for Ecuadorian Block 20 project  has to be granted  by Ecuadorian Government. The facts are : China loaned 1.68 billion to Ecuador for the construction of Coca Codo Sinclair hydroelectric dam.   China also loaned 2 billions for their 2013 budget deficit..... I would be surprised if  CNOOC didn't get picked by ...more
