Split rarely benefits

I have held this for a long time. I'm in at 1.81.  When it splits it will open at about 5.00 if it stays around 1.00 That means to break even it will have to go to around 9.20. What is the chance of that. I am out of here. Take my loses now and reinvest in another better one. It will go from 5.00 to 2.00 on the nasdaq.

Uhhh... my first buy was at 1.88 and my average buy right now is 1.02... If you bought in at 1.81 and watched it drop to 80 cents without either capitulating or reinforcing your position idk what to tell you. Finding a different stock may not help you as much as evaluating your holding/cost averaging/selling rationale.

What you are suggesting is referred to as throwing good money after bad . I was in at over 2 not a chance I would keep buying a dying stock to get my average down

I have the same feeling about this reverse splitting. I would not expect it to go down to 2 which would be more than 50%, but I am sure the NASDAQ listing will not help this stock. I can also agree with "display_name" that sometimes it makes sense to bring down your average price by constantly buying, but there comes a point where you are heavily invested in a small and totally unknown ...more
