Not a fun ride!

We shall see how it all plays out.  As a convert deb holder I am not putting good money after bad.  I voted against the deal and I am still really ticked off at management for not honouring initial debenture terms.  Was the alternative really bankruptcy?  Once the recap process is done I am looking forward to dumping this piece of garbage.

Personally, I'd understand if you have held for a while and are suffering losses to not be happy with this company. But, if you held any oil and gas company since 2015, or even anything pre-covid, you are probably not happy right now. I am wondering what are your reasons for wanting to dump this company at the bottem dollar prices? Also, I just don't understand your reasoning not to vote ...more

2$ sound like a good price. I wonder why the 10% drop today ?

Personally wouldn't bet on a $2 share price, but with the amount of volume being traded and most people getting rid of their shares because they have shares waiting to be purchased. I could see it being possible hitable target, why not when the shares were 6$ last year before this 600million was injected into the company just now. I know a lot has changed since it was at 6 bucks too, thats why ...more

thanks for taking the time to answer Energyrunsearth, see i am a new investor and i bought in august at .53 cents, I am confident after the consolidation this will go high. I think the company did whats right to live another day and lower their dept. Cheers!

Good luck, you'll need a consolidated price north of $16... With a ton of shares bought at 3.40ish (66% of the newco), there will be a strong downward pressure as the shares move north of $4.

I was away and just now saw your response Energyrunsearth. I have held the convert debs for several years and initially bought them as investment grade fixed income (knowing that there is some risk with unsecured convertible debentures).  So yes, I have lost money, and before the vote I was expecting to get 12 cents on the dollar.  This is terrible for a utility (Just Energy is a ...more

No worries, taken myself a bit to get back to you as well, lol. I definitely understand that if you sold the shares now you will be taking a loss. But, the deal also factors in how hard the share price has been hit in the process. The share price is just 1/16 what it was just over a year ago, there is plenty room for a run up after the consolidation. It is your choice what to do with the share ...more

Hi Energyrunsearth, Love your post. buying now if your here for the long is a great opportunity i believe. Share are no longer available at that price. I doubt this would make a big change in the end result of the value of the share. Yes in the consolidation we might see some movement, sometimes we also see a upward movement. weak hands that were stressed up have probably sold already. wpuld be ...more
