Reason for price action speculation ....

i like the theory that the #1 reason for the massive action recently is that a buy out offer from GLEN is imminent. That the "independant directors review" is really the public face of a board room battle between the Glen reps and the rest about how much such an offer should b for and when + how it should b presemted ....that its "dirctor share sale freeze component" is the the independant officers way of protecting the position of the general shareholders by preventing GLEN from manipulating the SP downwards while negotiations are held. In other words, that the review is really not so much about financial books issues as it is about the power play politics of a takeover bid and buy out offer It makes total sense that GLEN would like to buy up the remaining shares and delist KAT so they don't have the same transparency rules with respect to KAT reporting and compliance they do now. Plus they'd lose a bunch of the costs associated with running it as an independant Co.. Assuming i'm right ... it'd b fun to have a poll of what a fair buy out price per share would look like ? - $1.50 - $1.75 -$2 - $2.50 - $3 - more I'm gonna say $1.75-2 . Based on the fact there are now almost 10x the number of outstanding shares as there were in its producing heyday of $20 per share and $4 Cu. Interested to hear others' buyout price and related thoughts Those who think the Co price and projections are the driving force behind this run are wrong. The Co revenue will b a nice bonus but it'll b a secondary consideration for years yet. Plus ... the Co price really hasn't moved much the last few weeks but kat has. So Its all about the Cu price ... which allows the Co to be mined too.

i like the theory that the #1 reason for the massive action recently is that a buy out offer from GLEN is imminent. I agree with the above statement. Although many cobalt producers/wanna be producrers have moved up , the action on "KAT" has been stellar to say the least. Your buyout theory is valid, along with the statement that the mine will be coming on line soon. In addition the ...more

if you use bollinger band it will show the same thing. well if you know how it works....But again it is all about probability....

Symetrical triangle breakout. Using parallel channels target distances. A more precise calculation gives 1.43$

Perhaps it has something to do with the "bipolar" nature of your posts. Regularly mixing positive and negative messaging. Regularly mixing seemingly expereinced investor comments with real newbie ones ( reserves Q's + trend charting posts were perfect examples). Some of them seem to snidely sideswipe positive posts. So it gives the impression that, despite stating that your long ...more

Yes, I post positive and negative.  I am glad for the current pricing but don't understand it.  I see people talking out of their butts with projections and its scarey.  Brand new investors buying at high prices is absurd. Reserves have not been updated for years. With respect to charts, I have very little faith in any analysis on a penny stock in the Congo.  The charts ...more

Target reached. Stochastics show overbought which was expected. Long term SP will continue appreciating though. I love this company.

Telmelcel: Thanks for the projections! ... I actually used them today to successfully sell 50% of my KAT holdings with early AM sell order that triggered in the afternoon right at the daily peak of $1.44. So thanks again ! Maybe I'll regret it at a later date, but one can never feel too bad about any decisions surrounding a  2.5 bagger ( 0.57 buy in).  Keeping half for at least a ...more

c.muzak A good summary of my speculative Blog published on Seeking Alpha well over a month ago (and from here from last Friday). Its interesting to note how little interest my postulations are garnering (and by association, yours too), perhaps people are less interested in their stocks when the direction is "green" rather than red. I believe clarity will come before the middle of next ...more
