The risk as stated here in this FT article as saying; " embroiled in tough negotiations with DRC state mining company Gcamines in a bid to recapitalise its local Kamoto Copper Company — and prevent it being dissolved with the loss of its licences without compensation.  Now I call that the ultimate risk here !!

I think both KAT and IVN are very risky plays. Their risk is way beyond average. The Government in Congo is unpredictable. This is what I get after reading all the recent developments. Just my two cents.

I bought KAT at .15 and rode it up nicely and Sold. I hold ECS and FT until they run and will sell those as well. I have followed this stock even after I sold because it had such great promise and I was curious to see how high it might go (yes even after I took profits). When the first news of the new mining law came out I had an inkling that Kabila might move  on KAT and sure as I am ...more

Fair enough, doesnt bother me that you post I was just curious....I bought at .28 and again at 1.12 but willing to take the risk to hold and see what happens here

Glencore has made its name by handling situations like this.. I get your point, but this is Glencore we are talking about. Risk/reward is big here!!
