With the volume down and the price is not moving, that means so many investors are waiting for some news....so what is it?

Most of my portfolio has low volume.  Most likely culprit is the world cup.  Traders are glued to their TVs.

...well I don't think it's the World Cup keeping everyone away! What do traders know about football in Canada and USA? Very little, that's how much. It is the much awaited settlement of the Gecamines deal. I totally agree with you, however I would further say that the next set of financials is important as well to show stability. According to this board, those are due in August. The other thing of importance in terms of News Releases is the News on Wednesday, June 13. Written confirmation? That casts doubt on things. I was watching the stock and it started plummeting the moment that came out. " ...more

It's a thing apparently. https://qz.com/1303227/prepare-for-stock-market-weirdness-when-these-teams-play-in-the-world-cup/ KAT is traded on the TSX, but the company is in Africa, and the parent company is in Europe, so yeah, I think that this does have an effect. Hell, I spent my lunch watching the Crotia game instead.
