Glencore to halt copper and cobalt production at Mutanda

Approximatelly 200k tonnes of copper and 27k tonnes of cobalt were produced at Mutanda last year, the largest cobalt mine in the world. Glencore to halt production at the end of this year. This news is really huge, and basically shifts the cobalt market from surplus to deficit from next year, 2-3 years earlier than previously estimated (previously estimated that cobalt deficit will not come until 2022-2023).
