Stock Options Not Exercised?

Over 2.1M share options not exercised? it was a huge benefit to the holders, something must be going on? the bigger blocks coming on the market seem to get gobbled up. Any insight?

Options can't be exercised this close to quarterly financials.

The expiry date was Aug 16th, the reporting cycle shouldn't make any difference. The 16rh should be the drop dead date unless undisclosed agreements are in place changing the terms of the options.
