Takeover prices.

Anyone have a website that shows takeover prices of gold mines.

Price paid per ounce/enterprise value.

One of the most expensive was listed as $1000 per ounce...by G(i think)

This is when gold price were lower than the current value.

6million ounces is only worth 341million

It is low grade.

Obviously there is no way for $1700 in ground but AR got a super great deal.

6 million * 1700 = ten billion two hundred million

Hey, don't complain.  You got about 3.2% of what the assets can be sold for at market prices.   There are a bunch of other gold companies being valued at under $10 per oz Au.  Much less than the $57ish you got today.   And it isn't just gold companies.  I have a Titanium company currently trading for less than 1% of their in situ metal values.  I have a ...more

My first post on this board about a month and a half back. I compared Prodigy to brett resources(Taken out by osisko) and again like the deal with Brett, I'm left a little disappointed with the takeout price. But i think there's still reason for more upside to come. Aside from the potential of a competing bid(possible but not sure how likely) i think shareholders can continue to get ...more

@ green24   Nothing lucky about holding PDG,  a buyout was imminent, however it was a little less than what most longs expected

goldcorp paid 1.3 billion for  gold eagle's 5 million ounces (more or less)  under the bruce channel  of red lake. plus they are spending at least another 500 million on the new hoist house, headframe, infrastructure and the tunnel to feed the gold from cocheneour to the mill in balmertown.. they are about 5000 feet underground . maybe 1 more year of construction before ...more
