Hi everyone, I am brand new to this so I am asking for advice from the pros! Should I sell PDG now or wait for the AR shares? Does Argonaut have the legs to move us higher?? Thanks in advance to any who reply.

Looks like the houses that  unloaded last week are done, the ones that don't want the transfer of shares and have their clients and don't want money tide up in another company, AR in this case,  they may or maynot follow AR and want  the cash now or can invest later. If you think gold is going to go up or you think AR is a good company then it may be ...more

the thing is ... when the blend happens then what is your shares worth and when gold climbs to 2000  that been predicted what happens  with a blend ??? worth bailing below a buck seems to be the question to ask yourself ???

Thanks for the opinions folks, it is very appreciated. I have only just started to look at Argonaut so the jury is still out. My average price is.78 so I can get a we bit of cash at current spot. I too think gold will move up, but is Argonaut sound enough to go with it, that is the question I have yet to answer.   Thanks again, Geek

it kind of simple to see ...arongonaut 14 million ounces /// prodigy 6 million ounces put them together or blend resources @ $1700 or $ 2000 predicted and what that mid tier producing company worth to you as a stock holder ???

Should I sell PDG now or wait for the AR shares? In general you should always sell. A takeover in theory gives full value for the shares (the market operates on marginal value) - getting full value is always good. In addition, the new company will take some time before the acquisition becomes accretive - for juniors this is a much longer process - so the merged company should suffer short term ...more

Depends on whether you want AR shares or cash now to deploy elsewhere.  AR has done well for me as I stayed with them after they acquired Pediment.  Turned a losing investment into a profitable one.  The $1.08 acquisition cost for PDG, if sold, would be a loser for me with an average of $1.50.   AR  has proven to have competent management (at least so far), so I ...more

as per takeover friendly agreement if it stands not with a counter offer to change with what T. AR  agreement ??? what  t.ar  trading at ??? then your shares are worth about 1.12 this morn and seems someone likes the agreement because they continue to climb towards 52 week high
Comment by lou64 on Nov 08, 2012 8:43pm
the way ar and pdg are trading is like Siamese twins and if you revisit the agreement what ar will pay for your shares then someone is getting a kickback off your shares ???if you look at the closing numbers then your shares would be worth 1.133 to whomever bought shares
Comment by lou64 on Nov 09, 2012 7:23pm
well my shares are over 1.14 with the deal but someone losing out selling @ 1.10 and watch as gold rises or stays stable in this range when the two parties mix and match gold reserves then your shares will be good ones because there is someone or trading house buying them up cheap

H, I did both.  Sold 80 of my shares and holding 20%. It makes sense that PDG, as a venture stock, wasn't getting full value for it's deposit.  Now it will be part of a company on the Big board (TSX).  after the merger AR will have doubled their M&I resource and added only 1/3 to share capital. It stands to reason that there is now some value to be unlocked once the ...more
