Lithium EV Cars or Hydrogen Fuel Cell EV Cars!!

NamX or New Automotive and Mobility eXploration says it has solved the lack of infrastructure problem bugging fuel-cell startups. NamX has two hydrogen tanks, one is common to other FCEVs like the Toyota Mirai, the second tank uses removable hydrogen capsules, which don’t need to refilled at the regular station, instead the capsules can be bought at stores, there are 6 capsules in NamX and together with the other tank can fuel the vehicle for 500 miles, it takes about 30 seconds to swap. NamX plans to start selling HUVs in 2025.
 VW is developing a new hydrogen fuel cell for a vehicle that could achieve 1,240 miles of range. BMW has said the next trend for cars and SUV power will be hydrogen, with sales beginning in the U.S. within few years.
There will be a variety of options for hydrogen-fuelled vehicles coming to the market across single-capsule, two-tank, multiple-tank systems, and others depending on the vehicle type and solution needs.
Hydrogen fuel cells have an energy-to-weight ratio ten times greater than lithium-ion batteries. this means hydrogen-powered vehicles can offer much greater range while being lighter and occupying smaller volumes.
Several manufacturers released hydrogen fuel cell cars commercially, with manufacturers such as Toyota, Hyundai, and industry groups in China having planned to increase numbers of the cars into the hundreds of thousands over the next decade.
 
Hydrogen will be a 23 Trillion market by 2030 and up,refueling all industries from cars,trucks,bus,trains,planes,ships and stationary power refueling industries,electrical grids.

Hydrogen and fuel cells are seeing a resurgence in interest large-scale production of fuel cell vehicles has begun, and hundreds of thousands of homes are now heated and powered by fuel cells a key difference since the last hydrogen hype cycle in the 2000s.
 
It will be no surprise if the price of exotic components like cobalt, manganese copper and lithium go through the roof on the way to 2025 and up, destroying the economic case for plug in EV,  then there’s the perennial range-anxiety, the need for a hugely expensive charging infrastructure, some experts claim electric cars don’t do much to save carbon dioxide (CO2) because many lithium cars are connected to oil or coal power grid system!
 
Maybe this is why GM  took a step back from bringing  there EV lithium car projects to market? sources say GM ramping up development of hydrogen-powered or fuel-cell vehicles.
 
Even Einstein would agree Hydrogen the most abundant element in the Universe will run our lives,from homes to your cars,Planes,Trains ect.

Agree that it will be interesting to watch the evolution of hydrogen in the auto sector. Stil in the early stages of course but like anything else there will be future market plays in that sector.

Elon Musk last month mentioned he has joined the Hydrogen revolution, sooner or later he will have to join up with a Fuel Cell Maker company or buy a fuel cell company, Tesla might be doomed if not, sources say there will be so much green hydrogen by 2030 heads will spin with abundance!

1kg of H is $5.00 and equivalent to 1 gallon of gas.  No delivery infrastructure, extremely small atom hard to contain, high pressures, more damgerous than lithium fires or gas explosions.  Cant wait

At the moment there are fuel cell makers developing systems whis inject Hydrogen stored cupsules into to the fuel cells engines car or truck ..ect one capsule at a time making it very hydrogen fueling much safe than combustion engines, around the globe at present many companies are developing green hydrogen plants and many projections slated,  the way i see this going and the amount of money ...more

I am a huge lover of hydrogen on MANY fronts but technology is still 10 years away from economical viability. There are trucks in Europe running on hydrogen cells currently. I think the whole world was duped on EVs but I digress. Anyone name some good hydrogen research companies in their infancy ? Ballard doesn't light my candle.

Ya hydrogen has been around for decades already.. didn't take mass adoption yet.. but there are some practical applications for it.. don't know if or how it will be adopted by the mass personal vehicle market at this point.. the jury is still out on that one..!

This is has changed as we speak, the hydrogen fuel cell  companies  out there are amazing, all that's  need is the green low cost hydrogen, and that two is coming fast, by 2030 it will be abundant  that heads will turn!

There are some amazing fuel  cell turbo engines in development out there for fuel cells that will blow the lithium car out the window and amazing hydrogen  fuel cell jetliner engines!

yea what are you doing here. The biggest problem with hydrogen is not hte fueling its the storage.  the atom is the tiniest and very hard to contain.  Its not cheaper than gas.  There is no infrstructure to contan, transport and distribute hydrogen.  We've been deivering gas and electricity for over 100 years.  Its not the same as popping ip ev stations, the grid ...more

Oh no not true, if you pay close attention  to what going  on with the many many  companies  in the Hydrogen  sector  this will come in in the next 3 to 5 years for cars and all, there are abondamment  new companies in the Fuel cell space and green Hydrogen working at making it happen real soon!
