Core vs. COVID19

I am interested to know more from those on this board.

Nomoreshells4me, you have a reasonable perspective.

I look at the view from 2016 till now. It appears to me that the company generated income from the core business and made good strides in decreasing GS&A, to the point that they may have shown a positive EBITA this year. Unfortunately, COVID19 quarantine probably wiped 3 months of revenue from the books, and the expenses may have continued.

Long view tells me that there is a revenue generating company here that has a good market in which to grow. Amino-boost may provide some help to those who contract the virus; time and trials will tell us more.

So, I invest for the long view, counting on the core business to be developed.

Thoughts?

Will patience and hard work pay off for this company?

I am disappointed that no one except Accept2 shared a perspective. (Thanks Accept2) I think that if we want to stay away from shell games, then we need to look at a company's core business.  The Amnioboost treatment used for COVID19 is a shot in the dark, in a very crowded field. However, this company was well on the way to creating a positive EBITDA with their core products and that is ...more

Thanks Nomoreshells4me. I a familiar with that new release. I hope that it works. I also hope that they don't take their eye off the ball in developing their pre-COVID19 business. It is generous of Lattice Biologics to work on the COVID19 response, like any corporate or private individual. So, I don't criticize them for doing that. And, as I said, I wish them well. COVID19 will ...more

I picked more today again. I have to wait for updates until I find out if I can accumulate more. I think I  am just under the threshold for reporting. Hopefully I can get more soon though. Just need to know the exact O/S Capital issued. For core business, have you ever seen a poor dentist issuing a cheap bill? If Canada ever socializes dental, it will get alot more expensive to go......

I see there is a company based in Quebec doing stage 1 trials. Vaccine is " plant based " . Sounds crazy but it's name is Medicago and shows share price " from what I can find " of $ 1.20. Also shows as MDG.CA, but does'nt show up on Stockhouse. For respect to share holders, I wish guy would throw us some bread crumbs just on what's happening with our core business. ...more

Medicago uses cannabinoids. Looks interesting. Another to check out is Axim. Big move yesterday and more to come. Yah , Guy's words haven't matched his actions. March 17th, May 11th and the Alumina press release. All mentioned COVID-19 at least 7 times. I'm pretty sure he was targeting the attention being put on the pandemic and investors looking to play biotech companies involved in a ...more

One reason that I keep coming back to Core Business vs. potential COVID19 breakthroughs is that this company has an income statement and balance sheet on which (potential) investors can judge the company. As I commented on another board: I would suggest that stocks that have revenue, and income statements with identifiable metrics such as ROI and EBITDA do not react to speculative advances in ...more

Got back in RVV today at 0.21, had sold my previous in at 0.32. (0.11 profit) While they are playing games here, actually, I believe they are distributing to a friend or 2 .  They know exactly when his fill will be completed/when the news will be released.

Good for you Smiles. Nice to take a profit. Hope you're right about RLV. I also believe we're going to do very well with this investment.....MW

Sorry again.....ment LBL. Comes with old age....MW

The way Guy is promoting LBL, I can't believe we are as high as 0.045 cents per share. He definately wants the share price to remain low, as in 0.01 cent per share. Hold what shares you have folkes, I think he want's this baby all to himself.... maybe a few crumbs for others... maybe not. Very very strange folks. Any thoughts??? Don't get me wrong, it's been his money, his efforts ...more

My only issue with Guy is his lack of correspondence with his Shareholders. Some would argue that he may not have anything to say, and that may be the case, but at least tell us that.  Its frustrating when you invest thousands of dollars into a company, and when you contact the head of said company, you get zero response.  At least acknowledge that you received the emails from your ...more

I think that a progess report is in order. I have to assume that Guy is in the fight of his life for this company, I am VERY optimistic based on the core business. The next quarterly report is due out near the end of August. If we hear nothing before that time then it is possible that we will see the gap filled down to 2.5 to 3 cents which was created back when the company issued a press release ...more

Great post Gekko. I'm with you. Guy's lack of correspontents with shareholders is my biggest complaint. There's a reason for it. This is his baby. It's his cash, his mindthink and his education and his capitalistic dream that he deservers, it's all his. Ride his coat tails bigtime .............. and you'll be a winner just like him. He is no fool.... MW......... The best ...more

if I was as intelligent as him, with the current value or even better in 2 weeks from now (better as in lower), and a great news that I am witholding, I would force a vote to sell the company privately, of course, the buyer would be none other than me.
Comment by Nomoreshells4me on Jul 20, 2020 9:24pm
I also agree with Gekko. A simple thank you for your email but we have nothing to report would be respectful. Considering the amount of money we've all invested. About a month ago I called and the voice mail was full. After reading these posts I tried it again and was able to leave a message. I said that Guy Cook should show some basic fiduciary responsibility as a CEO and respond to his ...more

We could try, but it's becoming obvious that he does not care about the small investor, he will not answer. They are taking care of themselves, they hid 700K shares traded among 2 buddies today, been going on for a few days now. It will go on until they get their agreed fill. Just a note, I hope you guys realize that these companies hold on to news, they release when they see fit, or when ...more

Well smiles, mw, gekko, nmsgames, Interesting exchange tonight. I can see if this stock languishes without news until end of August we could easily retrace and fill the gap. I would like to think that the company will look after shareholders and update us properly, although I can see how it may unfold along more cynical lines. Thanks to all for the discussion. It may remain unsolved for at ...more
