Takeout in 2012

Good chance LCC will not be around much past 2012.  It has a fantastic asset and the major's will want it. IMO.

Don't think so. There are numerous opportunities for JVs with neighbouring properties which are vastly more interesting than being takeover. With the share price at the level it is, Lumina can buyout most of its neighbours.

Who is prepared to pay the price of the market capitalisation now? I doubt there will be any takers at these prices. It is more likely that they will use their shares in JV deals because they can afford to do so.

I think that Lumina is an excellent takeover target. I just think that it can do a whole lot better if it integrates neighbouring claims. That's why I think it is more likely that Lumina will either do some taking over or JVs before being taken over. It is easy to do with a high share price and it will only increase its asset base and attract more suitors as a result. Have also been thinking ...more
