new here

Midas, I hope you are right again. You were right about the JV with Salta and now I really hope LCC will be bought soon. Were did you get the information about the JV with Salta. Just bought another 300 shares of Lumina. I believe in this company!! Regards from Belgium

Initially, my suspicions were aroused by a couple of coincidences. That motivated me to talk to some people that I know at Taca Taca who confirmed that there was additional activity there and that was most likely explained by a JV. As the evidence shored up my suspicion and later evidence confirmed the suspicion. It was obvious that the JV was going to happen well before it happened. I had no idea ...more

What many people didn't believe was the talk about tailings and the impossibility of building a mine at Taca Taca. What many people here didn't believe as well were your claims that Lumina's management did not understand the situation, that they were clueless about mine building, that they had too much debt etc. I never saw anyone rule out a JV to drill for more copper. Lumina even ...more

1. There was no possibility of a mine ever being built on Lumina's claims before the JV. Which is why it has not been taken over yet. But now it can. 2. There is still nowhere for tailings. I doubt that Lumina's management will ever tell you that. Just as they wouldn't tell you that a mining operation was not feasible prior to the JV. Lumina has never been interested in setting up a ...more

"What has Cascadero actually done to add value to the project. Nothing. No drilling. On their web site, Taca Taca was not even mentioned as their major project. This whole situation must be so annoying for Lumina. They like to own a property outright, drill it out, and sell it to a major. The fact that they deviate from this principle, and do a 50/50 JV must show that ...more

1. There was no possibility of a mine ever being built on Lumina's claims before the JV. Which is why it has not been taken over yet. But now it can. Please expand on this statement. Why does a major mining company want to buy Lumina with a 50/50 JV with Salta. Don't they need the whole resource for themselves? They will still have to buy the remaining 50% of the claims from Salta. Why ...more

Of course Lumina wants all of it. That is the annoying part. That they have to negotiate with Salta who have done no wortk on the properties but just wants to be carried along. I don't really understand your comment.

I agree. We are not here bashing any people nor companies. I have been in Lumina since the .50 days in 2009.... They have great management and great proprties. Havoing said that , why would Lumina do anytnhing with the small fry CCD. ? Lumina was a small fry to back 3 years ago :-) They might want somethi ng that CCD , in order to benefit themselfs which is all good. Thats the name of the game ...more

There is no reason for Lumina to be unhappy with this deal and nobody is carrying anybody else along. Everybody is paying for their fair share of the exploration in this deal. It's 50/50 Corrientes/Salta and Cascadero has 50% of Salta and is paying its share of the exploration costs.
Comment by e-commerce on Oct 21, 2012 4:01pm
Krogh They have done work on the property, yo umay want to look at the news release. Hence why Lumina wants would they could get from CCD :-) IMO

We may see a bigger story in the making from what all have already known. MidasTouch , great DD , for all of us. Imagine they do a JV on Oct. 18th  and they already have the drills churning within 2 days, wha does that really tell EVERYONE :-), Wow impressive to me to say the least,   This is like watching a HUGE firework lite ...  IMO :-)

Answers to questions in numbered paragraphs: 1. The reason that a major can now buy Lumina's claims is because the JV makes a mining operation feasible (it was not before the JV). I have explained the detail on this in earlier posts. Lumina is funding 50% of the exploration costs on the JV. Lumina's existing exploration crew is being used. In fact, I would not be surprised if a major moves ...more

You still haven't explained why in your view a mining operation wasn't feasible before the JV. I haven't seen anything in your earlier posts which explains this. And please, stop with the "Salta's resources are more interesting than Lumina's" There hasn't been a single hole drilled on the Salta claims. Nobody knows what the claims hold. Lumina on the other hand ...more

Then you need to make more of an effort to read my earlier posts which were ignored by so many because the JV was considered by the vast majority of, if not all, readers to be an impossibility. Yes, holes have been drilled on Salta's Taca Taca claims. In fact, the first cores were sent for assessment many months ago. But none of you were paying any attention. Well then, how is it that  I ...more

Salta gave away the JV. Lumina did not pay anything. They just have to pay their share from now on. That doesn't sound like salta has a lot money for exploration. I would definitely interpret that as they expect Lumina to carry them along.   What do you mean by Lumina's best results? The longest intercepts are to the Northeast. I would call hole TT11-79  the best hole to date ...more

"Then you need to make more of an effort to read my earlier posts which were ignored by so many because the JV was considered by the vast majority of, if not all, readers to be an impossibility."   In other words, you can't explain why a mining operation wasn't feasible before the JV. Thanks for clarifying.

Salta gave away nothing. It's a 50/50 JV on exploration costs. Salta does not need to be carried. Remember that neither Salta or Cascadero saw any debt this year unlike Lumina. The closer Lumina drilled to the JV'd claims the better the results became. That is a fact. Like I said. Wait for the official results. I'm not going to try to convince you of anything. There is more pleasure in ...more

I've read your prior posts. They don't make any sense. So, unless you are willing to elaborate here, you are clearly full of it.

@Shabadoo ok. This is the deal. I will gladly repeat the information if you go to your nearest cat rehoming charity and give them $50. Make sure you get a receipt. Scan the receipt and post it here. Then I'll repeat the information for you. Make sure the receipt is dated and that there is a phone number on the receipt so that I can confirm with the charity that they received a $50 donation on ...more

If I withdrew my contribution from this board you could call the LCC board "the speculative ranting board" or the "speculatively fantasizing about takeovers board". I am the only person here who has been proved correct by calling the JV. The "hats off" was clearly a momentary gesture by someone with the memory of a goldfish. Instead of wasting all this effort trying ...more

Wow, are you ever full of yourself. As I suspected, you can't back up your outrageous statements with any supporting arguments. Thanks for confirming what we already knew.

We have got to give Midas some credit. He was right about the JV. I believe that when Lumina gets sold, CCD will also go much higher. I own a lot of shares of LCC because I really believe in this story. But if Lumina gets sold, what will happen with CCD??? I ' ve bought some shares allready.
Comment by MidasTouchez on Oct 23, 2012 4:49pm
When Lumina gets sold (I have to say when because that is the whole purpose of Lumina's existence, it only exists to be sold) then the two JV'd claims must be part of the deal. CCD is currently cash rich due to a number of recent private placements to raise funding for exploration. That can go a long way towards exploring the rest of Salta's Taca Taca claims. CCD has already sealed ...more
