' China’s anti-pollution efforts may turn the country into a net exporter of the fuel in 2015.''China’s push to improve air quality may mean it reduces coal consumption for power, changes transport policies and boosts clean energy investment, Michael Hsueh, a Deutsche Bank analyst in London, said in an e-mailed note. That may cut coal imports to 52 million metric tons in 2014 from 174 million tons last year. China may export a net 43 million tons in 2015.'
I'm finding this report in different forms (some by Greenpeace!) all over the internet today. I'd like to hear your thoughts on dwindling demand for thermal coal in China and around the world. The obvious reason is the high pollution factor as well as safety.
How is this trend going to affect LLEN in the future if at all? How does management intend to deal with this or are we just too small to have to be concerned...or is this more 'noise' than 'news'?
Thanks, Sharpei
