L&L Energy Obtains Membrane Technology to Strengthen Its Cle

SEATTLE, Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- L & L Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: "LLEN") ("L&L" or the "Company"), a U.S.-based company with profitable energy (coal) operations in China, today announced that it has secured rights to advanced membrane osmosis technologies from the R&D Center for Membrane Technology (the "CMT") at Chung Yuan Christian University ("CYCU") to support its clean energy initiatives in China.

The CMT is a world leader in advanced membrane technologies, which are used for filtering CO2, nitrogen, and metals from solvents. The technology has wide environmental applications, such as sustainable water treatment and precious metal recovery. For instance, the Center has worked with Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs, and European water utility company Veolia Water, to separate industrial solvents used for semiconductor manufacturing.

With the technology transfer agreement signed, L&L intends to apply this state-of-the-art membrane technology to projects with the China Low-Carbon Industry Investment Center ("CLCIIC"). In particular, the Company sees immediate applications with recently announced partner in environmental remediation water, Wan Yuan. L&L also intends to explore the CMT's technology and expertise in biodiesel, a sustainable energy beyond coal.

L&L Chairman Dickson V. Lee commented, "We are excited to partner with my alma mater, CYCU, to bring to market their leading technologies. Together with our knowledge of specific market demand in China, this partnership is another example of how L&L is leveraging its business strengths with partners to expand our footprint in the clean energy business."

The signing of technology transfer agreement was held on October 28, 2013 at CYCU in Taiwan, by Dickson Lee, Chairman of L&L, Dr. Samuel KJ Chang, President of the CYCU, and Dr. Juin-Yih Lai, Founder of the R&D Center.

Poor PR by LLEN.  Dickson cannot even tell us what consideration is for the transfer of technology. Maybe the CMT is giving away to LLEN.  LOL!!! The Company should really think twice about the content before releasing news.  Management talent is so ....
