Lightstream share holders
I own shares in Lightstream that i got years ago when it was traded on the TSX. I know it got delisted, did all the shares from lightstream get transfered to the new company RIdgeback?
I tried selling the shares for nothing so i could use the capital gains loss but my TD Direct Investing webbroker wont allow me to sell the shares, even for nothing. I was told they cant be sold.

Even though you can't sell, there is a provision to elect those shares worth null in the Tax code. You could talk to CRA regarding that.

For those who have capital gains, I recommend you claim a capital loss of this stock since it is worthless.. If you don't need to claim a capital loss, follow Pancho's advice.
