NEWS RELEASE
LUNA GRANTED ENERGY STAR APPROVAL FOR EXIT SIGNS
Dated at Kent, Washington, USA -April 20, 2004
Luna Technologies International Inc., (“Luna”) (OTCBB: LTII) is pleased to announce that the first ENERGY STAR approval for photoluminescent exit signs has been granted to Luna. It is expected that the new “ENERGY STAR EXIT” sign specifications will be released in August 2004, following which Luna will commence marketing these new exit signs.
ENERGY STAR is a USA government-backed program helping businesses and individuals protect the environment through superior energy efficiency. An ENERGY STAR rating on most products is required for all government offices and many private corporations.
“Luna expects the marketplace to recognize this milestone in photoluminescent technology, and the ENERGY STAR rating to play an important role in transformation of conventional exit signs to photoluminescent technology”, said Kimberly Landry, President of Luna. Unlike conventional exit signs, photoluminescent exit signs do not require electricity.
Luna has been a leader in championing the acceptance of photoluminescent EXIT signs into the Energy Star program. Luna will continue its leadership role and fully supports energy conservation.
Luna is a manufacturer and distributor of photoluminescent (PL) products used for emergency lighting, signs and markings, wayfinding systems with applications in marine, rail, subway and building industries.

Thanks for posting the release.
This should really benefit the company when comparisons are made between the cost of installing/maintaining standard electrical EXIT signs that of Luna's photoluminescent EXIT signs.
The game is on......
