Also,  there was a news article quoting a Nigerian government official marginal fields auction will occur by the end of June. I hope we hear about new opportunities today.

They must be saving up a lot of great news for the AGM.  If they still have nothing to report at the AGM they are going to get an earful from a bunch of stockholders.  Stands to reason if the news was bad it would have been released already--definitely not the kind of thing you want to do at an annual meeting.  One can only hope there is a lot of good news to be released

Having been to many annual meetings, it's extremely rare to get news out of those, so don't expect any.  It's about the formalities of covering corporate b.s. like re-election of officers and who will be the accounting firm.  I hope I'm wrong, but am not expecting any news out of the AGM.

To everyone hoping for news at the AGM - it is highly illegal for a public company to make a formal news announcement at the AGM. This would constitute preferential treatment of select shareholders. While preferential treatment happens all the time it does not happen at a public meeting such as an AGM. As the can man eluded to, there is the possibility of getting information through an

You cannot make an announcement at the AGM but you can do a NR a few hours before. One thing I am not so sure is that if you announce a  live broadcasting of an AGM, does that count as full public disclosure? Just an academic question since they will do a NR anyway. Not so sure about UMU10.  There is really no hurry to do that and safety should alway prevail dealine.  Remember that

Thanks for the response Oullins - always look forward to your posts - I was thinking all the same lines that they might do a press release just before the start time of the meeting. As to UMU 10 I was not suggesting they would rush the spud -  just that if the hole had started they would likely announce it before the AGM rather than wait for a week or so likely they
