UMU-10

Sorry - perhaps didn't make myself altogether clear in my last post.

I am aware that the stated main objectives of the UMU-10 well are to test the deeper sections of the oil-bearing sands encountered in UMU-9, but does this mean that there will be no testing at all on the intermediate sections of the well?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this,

E17

There were 6 deeper hydrocarbon sands ( 5 oil, one gas condensate ) that were logged, below the 15 sands logged and confirmed as oil bearing in UMU-9. Recall that only 5 of these upper sands were tested for UMU-9   The combined flow rate of the five sands tested in the UMU-9 well was 11,718 bopd. Because of short-term pipeline constraints, only 2 of these sands are producing.   Other ...more

Great post Rock !! Those are most of the reasons i continue to hold MMT . Can't wait till the new pipeline is in to remove the bottleneck on production. After that i see the divi doubling with no end in site for driling to get the 82% of forward oil   MM

?  The well is expected to take 40 days to reach target depth of 9,700 feet

Thanks for your reply Rock,     Do you think that we may get an 'interim' update on intermediate well logging, or will we have to wait until well reaches TD?   Thanks,   E17

E17 -  Final completion depends on the logs (response received from company). If anyone would like to clarify that I would appreciate it. My guess is if the logs are good enough in the deeper zones that they will test those first and if it is determined that the zones will produce enough without the intermediate zones then they will only test those. However, I never knew what they did after ...more

UM10 is a stepout/development well as opposed to a risky exploratory well   it will hit and that should confirmed in three weeks   UMU--10 well to be drilled to appraise new sands discovered in UMU--9

U10 deeper sands could test much higher rates than the upper sands - thanks to thicker intervals and higher pressures.  Could be some humdinger production rates coming.   But even with the increased reserves/production capacity coming from U10, it is a sideshow.  All eyes should focus on the upcoming step out well to test that SW exploration target.  It has the potential to ...more
