Pipeline

when this pipeline is built will Shell provide better security to limit/eliminate losses?

The 54km pipeline is not a Shell pipeline.  The pipeline will connect to a very large Shell pipeline (300K+ BOPD) at the Shell facility.  Shell also has problem with bunkering but not as bad as AGIP.   Now for security of the "mart pipeline".  The pipeline will be undergroung with an 18" concrete slab on top of it.   Cheers

even if the losses are the same with the shell pipeline, as long as you are running operations on a net positive margin, the more oil that is flowing the more cashflow you'll see.   the above being said, I think, the current pipeline operator is just fudging the numbers.  I have a hard time imagining so much oil is actually being taken by a third party.  how would one walk away ...more
