More bad news

At least we now know why there was so much selling yesterday;

"The UMU-11 well was originally planned to spud in the third slot of the UMU-9 drilling pad. When trying to clean out the 20-inch conductor that was previously pile driven to a depth of approximately 300 feet, the UMU-11 well encountered an obstruction at a depth of approximately 275 feet. Retrieval and milling operations were attempted to utilize this drill slot, but were unsuccessful. It is believed that the 20-inch conductor is bent or kinked, which caused an obstruction. The rig will now be skidded forward to a new slot utilizing the existing drilling pad."

This means the rig has been upgraded and we are back in business as far as drilling goes.

Always negative as always. For every share sold, there is a share bought, so you could say there was a lot of buying yesterday too. Both MMT and MAUXF were up significantly yesterday, so I don't think that "more bad news" was the reason there "was so much selling".  What you failed to mention from this recent news release is that they CONFIRMED the dividend payment for ...more

"The UMU-11 well is expected to spud in July 2013 once additional drill slot preparations on the existing pad are completed."  What do you think "spud" means? In oil drilling "spudding" means the very start of drilling on a new well. Spud Date - The day when the drilling bit penetrates the surface utilizing a drilling rig capable of drilling the well to ...more

My apologies. That line was not included in all of the news releases issued by the different wire services. One would think they would have to print exactly what the company said, and not their own version. That is good to hear, as Mart needs to get more production lined up to fill that new pipeline.
