Mart Resources, Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MMT) ("Mart" or the "Company") announces that it has granted an aggregate of 8,575,000 stock options, of which 6,250,000 options were granted to directors or officers of Mart. Each option represents the right to purchase one common share of the Company at an exercise price of $1.47 per common share for a period of five years.

Sooh,, that's what.. about $9 mil 
Yeah, they done good, late on most everything!
Let's see,   last year we were ~ $1.70 ish   today   ~$1.40 ish

so much for some good news.I know it's grasping at straws in hopes of something positive but maybe the timing/price is an indication that they expect this price range to be a short lived bottom(we'll see tomorrow)and they know there is a light at the end of the tunnel,hopefully very soon.Still,tough to be impressed.Many stocks are rallying and we're stuck in the mud.Patience,patience ...more

It is disgusting when any company waits for the share price to fall before issuing options, but it is nothing new. And remember that these options are worthless unless the share price rises, so if the option recipients make money, so do we. And the money they pay for options goes into the kitty which can be used for drilling more wells. So it really isn't that big of  deal. We have ...more
