Markets not exactly thrilled with the div.
Comment by vestor111 on Jun 30, 2014 9:56am
How so?
Comment by dakota22 on Jun 30, 2014 9:59am
Because it is highly unlikely to happen
Comment by vestor111 on Jun 30, 2014 11:38am
yes but the instability premium rolls straight to the bottomline everyday they pump.  We are up $5-6 a barrel on the fear premium (gots to keep that black crack flowing don't ya know)... at 12k bbls a day 70-80 days per qtr...  add the new pipeline... makes providing a re-sweetened div more likely.

But the "How so?" question was for your previous comment on the market no like it.   The volume and small price change is not a thunderous stampede out or into the stock.   More like a ho-hum.

In my mind that is about the same as the market 'isn't thrilled' with it

Naturally, it would be nice to have flowing revs before the likely OML award to simplify financing so hedging on the divy seem prudent - at least until the pipeline is flowing revs to market.   BTW Some are calling for $200 a bbl oil if the ISIS moves on the Iraqi Oil refinery.   Who knows, timing on the pipeline might coincide with windfall panic pricing.   A kicker handed by fate ...more

I wouldn't rely on a $200 oil price for investing

I am ok with the divy, now we need news on the shell deal. Very happy with Wade's decision..
