Interested in buying MB

Have been thinking about buying some shares or warrants of MB, however, I can't help but hesitate when I looked into its history. The company was in serious financial trouble in 2008 and 2009, and then in 2010 it restructured its debts into shares and warrants. It had only about 35 ml shares before, now it has about 330 ml shares and plus 245 ml warrants. What a huge dilution!

Anyone knows who is the current largest shareholder of MB common shares and warrants? Thanks.

By the way, yesterday I went to Toysrus to take a look at Mega Bloks and Lego. I did not get much feeling there. Anyone knows the level of popularity of Mega Bloks compared with Lego? Thanks a lot.

The shareholders information is on MB's website: https://www.megabrands.com/media/pdf/corpo/en/20100114.pdf The largest current shareholder would be Fairfax, head by long term value investor Prem Watsa; Fairfax's announcement after all things were done: https://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Fairfax-Announces-Investment-In-MEGA-Brands-TSX-FFH-1140283.htm In terms of retail performance ...more

I also believe they used to be a 20 dollar stock, before they got into the massive recall involving magnets on toys. This nearly put them under. They have made a pretty good turn around since and the share dilution was part of a huge debt reduction.

The old 20 dollars share price is no longer relevant. The current share price is based on the current amount of shares and MB's next 12 months earning forecast.
