I am sure there is an obvious answer to this:  Why did the P.Q. government veto the Rona takeover from Lowes, and it appears to be allowing Matel to take over Mega Bands??

Thanks for that FrankoL.  Makes sense, but a takeover or take out, both could lead to, or result in the same outcome.  i. e. Some lost jobs etc., or lesser autonomy for the Que government.  In the grand scheme of things, we are a global economy, so if a foreign company wants to pony up the cash and buy...then let them.....remember the Aussies bid for Potash, but the Sask premier ...more

the mb manufacturing plant in montreal is a core part of the deal. that plant will be kept and so does the jobs that plant brings. that's why.

There is nothing in righting its just on good faith agreement, sliced and diced over years driven my economics, all that remain is the name, companies don't go or stay in PQ on economics
