I love this part:
This state of-the-art facility is a large,cost-effective and scaled-up facility for Medicago's VLP plant-basedvaccine technology ultimately for the delivery of
current good manufacturing practice (cGMP)-grade vaccine. Medicago intends to demonstrate
its capacity toproduce 10 million doses/month of influenza vaccines with the potentialfor further expansion in the future. This DARPA project is part of theBlue Angel influenza vaccine rapid response demonstration project whichseeks to identify new ways to produce large amounts of high qualityvaccine grade protein in less than 3 months in response to emerging andnovel biologic threats.
So when running at full capacity prior to any further expansion, given an approximate and conservative price of $2.00 per dose (some vaccines are considerably higher),
we're talking about appx. $20 Million per month!!!
The above does not factor in more expansion or more plants around the world!
