sounds painful .... however, without wishing to sound patronizing, your glass is half full.  Market losses are the only real educator for traders, and if anyone has survived long enough to actually start making money consistently at this game, they had to learn, to one degree or another, the very painful lesson you are going through: 

Sell you losers early!  Especially on low volume stocks.

I know, I know,  it's far easier said than done, especially when the story is so glowing like this play was / is / could be. 

Taking a loss early is painful enough on its own, but experience shows that drops after runups usually begin as a slow drip, but like the cut of a thousand knives, can turn into a painful slashing of the jugular.

Take some solace in knowing that you are certainly not alone in earning your stripes on this issue ;-) ;-) - You like every other trader before you has had two choices:

a) figure out how to beat the process, or b) succumb to defeat.

Indicator, so true. With this one (MDG) I thought I finally had a "sure thing" and was willing to wait. Little did I realize it would take so long. Anyway, you know what I think is going on. I am sure you read the MDG posts. There are so few. I did start selling awhile back at 60 cents but only one trade When it kept falling I stopped selling. Of course I was wrong.
