Metanor Resources > MTO Takeover...

MTO Takeover...

...I would think the best thing that could happen now would be for Oban to takeover MTO with 75 million in cash ...they could offer a stock swap and not touch any of their cash.. then they could have Windfall Lake and Barry combined...also BACHELOR they could come up with a new deal with SSL.. and or shut down the mill for expansion ...and let Bachelor sit till they decide how to best utilize the mill money does give you many more options...build a feeder from WINDFALL / BARRY ...the biggest plus would be that consolidation of the Barry area into a camp ...also lots of properties they could look at around Bachelor to further consolidate...could be a win win ...Oban would finally be considered a producer instead of just an exploration company ...
and with Osisko backing and Dundee they could take this area to the next level...

Bottom line is that I do not see this management at MTO taking us to the next level...so they should really start shopping this one around ...

Don't underestimate MTO's management when talking about them taking us to the next level.. With those guys taking us to a new lower level is always a strong possibility!!>Mazz..

Bob, I'd like a dose of whatever the source is for such optimism. Some new age cactus essence maybe? Only one that might take Mto is sandstorm. They are the only ones who will lose if Mto goes under and sells the assets under cover of court protection. Well, and management big fat comp is gone. Some sort of reorg is inevitable here. That's why mgmt doesn't buy stock now. New ...more

Haven't we read somewhere that MTO is looking to reorganize their debt from another source ......that would look after the 9 million debenture axe hanging over them due mid 2017 and get some more fun money ..Sandstorm will likely only put money in to keep the old buggy putting along ...If they take it over it would only be for a pre arranged flip to rid the present outrageous management pay ...more

They are not looking for money? They are shatting themselves? Vacationing? Pricing options for themselves? Gee, I guess they are busy. T PS Sorry for sarcastic Tuesday.

If I was in MTO management ... I would not wait a minute longer now that shareholders can start voting their proxies in advance of the meeting ...they might want to get some good news flowing soooooooon....many have already voted ! Bob

Majority Voting Guidelines Currently, director elections under the Canadian legal regime is based on a "plurality system" where shareholders vote either "for" a director or "withhold" their vote (i.e. do not vote). In a plurality system, withhold votes do not count and technically a director needs only one "for" vote to be ...more

Why a vote if there has no consequences for the directors or the management ? It seems to serve absolutely nothing.
Comment by romara on Dec 01, 2015 1:27pm
But for the vote on options plan ....you vote "For", or"Against" ...... I voted against. If you do not like any of the directors, propose new nominees for next year, according to the companies bylaws ..... and expect to pay big money for the privilage of having a disenting board.....  Richard

Bottom line Bob is the head grade.... OBM has in the area of 7 to 10 grams / tonne. Barry's "resource" has around 1 to 1.5 g/t. What would Oban want with Barry except to dilute their grade? Je suis curieux.
Comment by u2bob on Dec 02, 2015 8:49am
No its not just about Barry property its about Oban needing mill and getting all of Metanors properties as well ..so far Oban through Osisko and Dundee have been collecting Junior exploration companies but if they are looking to move up there stock price and repeat what they did when they sold Osisko mining ...then Oban will needs to move up to the next level from collecting exploration companies ...more

I would not be that quick to dismiss the idea Oban only finished putting together their company in the summer ...but their stock is stuck in a rut like all exploration companies...so this might be the right time for them to make a move from exploration to producer remember Osisko is involved and they want royalties from these properties and are not going to get that as an exploration play ...more

And what would the takover be ..... industry standards....average share price over the last 30 days, plus 10% .... and management  bought out of their sweet contracts...Richard

The last two junior gold's  I owned were Mega Precious Metals (MGP.V), acquired by Yamana Gold from its 3 cent low for 10 cents   The other one was Temex which Oban tried to get for around 8 half cents from the 3 cent low that TME was trading at LSG ended up with TME for 13 cents stock swap same thing Oban tried stock swap   Now MTO looks to be in the same position ...more
