Larry I should add, because you would have missed it, that President Trump disparaged the war hero Senator John McCain who is struggling with brain cancer, which Senator is a good friend of Lindsay Graham, Bob Corker and others who are very influential in passing legislation.  Also, President Trump said he would shut down government if he had to in order to build the wall between the U.S. and Mexico.  The wall is a good thing, shutting down government not so much.  He won't do it but it shows his state of mind.  IMO
