Re--jobs
Larry--take a deep breath, calm down. Your thesis is good. But the geopolitical factors have evolved from individual events that are relatively isolated and transient in their effect on POG to a more generalized malaise. The old saying 'if it's not one thing it's anoher' has never been more true than in current complexities. You simply can't compare North Korea's past ranting in the context of former administrations--Clinton, Bush, Obama--wherein NK was virtually allowed to develop their present nuclear weapons capabilities, that era, with today's situation where NK has ICBM's and warheads by all reports. Add President Trump and we are at a crossroads as never before. Also NK is consorting with Syria and Iran in developing chemical weapons. This is the most lethal and virulent situation but there are plenty of others--a new synergy of danger exists in the world. No more tempests in teapots. Your domestic politics are a mess. That is not an ideological view it is pragmatic. If you feel the need to prove your conservative credentials we accept that you are a good conservative. But can you imagine Bill Buckley disparaging a John McCain, a war hero who is fighting brain cancer. Last night Trump did not offer that brave man a word of encouragement--instead he referred to McCain not voting for the so called healthcare bill that failed in the Senate. Donald Trump is superior to having Hillary hands down but he is not a true conservative. Pence is doing his best but he must have been cringing last night like everybody else. It was tough to watch.
