mdf commerce collaborates with Walmart to provide an integrated shopping solution to the State of Arkansas

Arkansas local and state government shoppers can now easily buy from walmart.com directly in ARBuy, the state's Periscope-based e-procurement platform powered by mdf commerce.

Once the account is created, buyers can search for goods and services offered on state contracts and recently, via walmart.com. Integration with Walmart is seamless, allowing people in procurement to add items to their cart and checkout, all directly within the ARBuy system. The solution enables Arkansas shoppers to shop more efficiently across state contracts and catalogs on walmart.com, while ensuring compliance that tracks spend for transparency and better visibility.

“Our team is excited to integrate the walmart.com product catalog into ARBuy's e-procurement platform. We salute the Department of Transformation and Shared Services for continually adapting their technology to transform procurement for the state of Arkansas,” said Mark Eigenbauer, president of e-procurement at mdf commerce, regarding this new offer.

“We are extremely pleased to be working with mdf commerce to save the state and local Arkansas buyers time and money. ARBuy's goal aligns with Walmart's "Everyday Low Prices" commitment. The Unified e-Procurement System provides an easy way for local and national shoppers to purchase goods and services at the best value, just another way for us to connect customers to our offerings on walmart.com,” said Ashley Hubka, Senior Vice President, New Business Development, Walmart Inc.

Sharing his thoughts on the announcement, Department of Transformation and Shared Services Secretary Mitch Rouse said, “We engaged our technology partner, Periscope of mdf commerce, to identify opportunities for increased efficiencies in procurement and public procurement. This project represents an opportunity to increase data accessibility in public procurement and generate savings for local and national buyers. We look forward to continuing to innovate in public procurement to provide greater efficiency, transparency and visibility to the public. »
