when you trade any of the CAD pinks you have to watch the US/CAD dollar exchange currently at about 1.10. so add that on to your orders so you are more or less in line with what you want to put in the CAD market.

I bought 30,000 shares on April 17th on the TSX via TD and it doesn't show up in level 2 or in the charts.   I don't understand why since the buy went through.

you need to look at the other exchanges, that is where your trade will be. there are at least 2 other exchanges other then the tsx. https://www.stockwatch.com/Quote/Detail.aspx?symbol=MES&region=C

This sucks.   There needs to be more transparency.  If I am on the Canadian exchange (TMX.v) and trade on the exchange through a normal broker (TDWaterhouse), it should show up on the exchange.  It is not like I am running a dark pool or something.   How can a normal trader figure out what is really going on?  I feel like the little guys are constantly, boned ...more

You are right Weeble, but you went too far. You should have stopped at "the little guy is getting boned"! ::) It is tough to know what the selling/bidding pressure truly is with trades being hidden.

Often wondered, when a trade does not show up on the exchange, if the brokerage had a sale in house that covered the buy, do they just make the trade in house without going through the exchange? JYD

i think by law they have to go to an exchange... but could be wrong.
