MGM Energy Corp > options issued, GAP up today?

options issued, GAP up today?

well if the drop in our SP was related to the brokers bringing them down to satisfy the issuance of cheaper stock options, then now that they have been issued we should see some movement up and maybe even a gap up back to high 0.30's which is where I exepcted them all along until the drilling news comes out.

markets are looking up today, January was spectacular so I hope we see some up movement today, it's only logical?

Need results. Period.
Comment by shambano1 on Feb 01, 2013 9:22am
I disagree that we need results, we need more buyers than sellers and why anyone is selling right now besides day traders is a mystery to me, if it is even happenning. if we get a flood of buyers the SP will spike back up to the high 0.30's, I'm almost certain. this is a market and when the buyers show up, the sellers will dry up,, or ask for higher and higher prices, and we get the gap up ...more

You have no idea about this place do you. We ran up already on speculation. Not to get to the next level we need some sort of news for the next set of buyers.

what place are you referring to, the stock market?  I retired when I was 40 because of the stock market, I think I know a few things. well see what happens before and after the news?
Comment by shambano1 on Feb 01, 2013 10:07am
sorry forgot to add that was almost 20 years ago.  If the markets are that predictable everyone would make money, but they're not redictable even if it seems like a logical place. GL

And how much did you lost on PMT??
Comment by SigmaKappa on Feb 01, 2013 10:14am
Like I said how much of this play do you know? Do you know any connections that work for the companies doing the work? Have you talked to any of the engineers? G&G staff? Your going by high level basics. Until we get news of results the price is spec at best. Weve already moved up ~50% based on speculation.

MGM is not a 100% spec stock, I know that much, have you read the posts by Oileng, they know what's underneath their land, they have drill and cores results in and around their wells site, the Canol resources lies under a very large area, and the technicals looks very favourable. of course it's not a 100% home run at this point but we have hints that it will be a very and profitable play ...more

So once again all your knowledge is on the play is based on what other people have said. Way to invest! LOL The biggest risk is being able to commercially get the resource out of the ground. Until ANY company proves that its a spec play. Its all risk. Having a resource with no proven ability to get it out of the ground isnt much. Its like having the gas assets in NWT but no market access. Very ...more

I didn't say there was no risk but the risk/reward is very favourable and I understand full well that they need to produce oil at commercial quantaties but if you wait for the news reelase that says we struck oil and lots of it, this SP isn't going to open at 0.32, maybe 1.02 and all of that gain is gone as a profit. sure if you already have a position then you wait but I'm talking ...more

So what your saying is that you can buy now at a cheaper price based on speculation of producing at oil at commercial quantities.
Comment by pipsqueak3 on Feb 01, 2013 11:40am
Shambano - you've quantified 'risk' as 10-20% - You mention this is a 'low risk' play - You mention the risk/reward is very favourable, which begs the question, where is your mental SL(do you even have one)? What you're getting at is there is a 80-90% chance of hitting a home run (you mention 1.00 as a potential TP... And, furthermore, you are speaking of a triple bagger ...more

High risk spec oil plays are drilling wildcat wells were there is no proven oil, Norman Wells has been pumping oil for the last 90 years, it's a proven fact there is oil in the area, as well when the majors (except MGM) buy up all the available licenses that says something, they do their home work before commiting to spending big bucks and all the big Major's want a piece of ...more

No one is questioning that the resource is there. The risk comes from the ability to get it out of the ground and enough of it to make the economics work. This is the risk. The Canol shale oil play has not been proven yet. Once the companies crack the nut and make it work, then the world is our oyster.
Comment by zibo on Feb 01, 2013 1:35pm
I have a feeling Husky might have already proven up the Canol Shale play, they have already commited to this play big time before they even fraced or tested the wells and these are just vertical wells.

How can you prove something up without testing it?
