MGM wants oil and NG , MGM does not want liquids rich NG

PS I can see you are a oil patch pro

You do realize that part of the potential up there is the LRG component right? The part that makes any sort of gas discover economical right? If its dry gas....the play is dead. Period.
Comment by farml1234 on Feb 28, 2013 11:12am
Sigma MGM wants the same kind on NG that is being produced right now
Comment by SigmaKappa on Feb 28, 2013 11:25am
So the same NG where no one is drilling and the price is in the toilet....you really have no clue do you.
Comment by farml1234 on Feb 28, 2013 12:02pm
Dear Sigma a few questions for you. What kind of NG is imperial producing right now from the Norman Wells field ? Now only a dumb person would want something different  ! Now as for having no clue  , i see you are a typical boiler kid from la la land
Comment by CommMarine85 on Feb 28, 2013 12:12pm
Farm, Sig is irrelevant and should be ignored.  He's a cowpie in the middle of a beautiful field.  Just step over it.
Comment by SigmaKappa on Feb 28, 2013 12:26pm
You do realize the only reason Norman wells was brought onto production and continues to produce and be maintained is because of oil. No one cares about any sort of dry gas production from the wells. You clearly have no clue about WC landscape. Its all about oil and liquid rich gas these days.
Comment by brownie15 on Feb 28, 2013 12:27pm
Enough already. Sigma is correct. Me thinks you yanks should do a little DD. We already have tons of dry NG. No way to get it to market. This well is supposed to be a crude play or worst case liquid NG.  JMHO Brownie
Comment by CommMarine85 on Feb 28, 2013 12:37pm
MGM is going for oil not NG.  Me thinks Brownie is a dullard who should spend more time reviewing posts than commenting on that which he does not know.
Comment by SigmaKappa on Feb 28, 2013 12:40pm
You do realize a ton of the window contains liquids right right? Its not 100% oil. The primary target is oil but a ton of the potential resource is liquids.
Comment by farml1234 on Feb 28, 2013 12:40pm
brownie   The NG is farther up north or have you forgot that little problem ! Norman Wells is running out of NG to heat their government buildings in June  according to OilEng and their homes next year. NOW a simple question for you , what will be their heat source ???  I'm waiting on your reply ASAP   thank you
Comment by SigmaKappa on Feb 28, 2013 12:53pm
Who cares about NG as a heating source up there. The population of Norman wells is under 1000 people. Thats a blip for any sort of commercial NG usage. You really think  companies are going to spend 10s of millions per well to heat homes for 1000 people?? Moron

This is farm's statement MGM wants oil and NG , MGM does not want liquids rich NG PS I can see you are a oil patch pro Read more at https://www.stockhouse.com/companies/bullboards/T.MGX/MGM-Energy-Corp.#gGmrY9Fr6TjBEA IFR has an SDL (look it up) south of the canol rich in dry natural gas and no way to get it to market Trades at 7 cents.  Guess I am a dullard JMHO  Brownie
Comment by shambano1 on Feb 28, 2013 1:41pm
don't include me in this brawl.  all I said is if there is any asscoiated NG with the oil or liquids rich NG, then instead of flaring it forever, which I don't think they will let you do, then pipeline it to the town for use it or inject it back into an older vertical well. we know the target is oil, we all know dry NG is not required right now, and if they get a wet gas they still ...more

Sham, Sigma Krappa identified you as a stooge. I am not sure why unless he responded to a post he wrote in error.  Now reading Krappa is confusing enough. I actually feel sorry for him.  Life is tough but when you are stupid, it's even tougher.   So yes, he is a stooge.
Comment by farml1234 on Feb 28, 2013 2:03pm

So farm, could you clarify something for us. Earlier you said:   "MGM wants oil and NG , MGM does not want liquids rich NG"   "What kind of NG is imperial producing right now from the Norman Wells field ? Now only a dumb person would want something different !"   It would seem that in your view, there are two "kinds" of natural gas: natural gas ...more

shambano1 opps i should have added , i can read between the lines as to what i think is going on with Husky and IFR
Comment by farml1234 on Feb 28, 2013 2:12pm
oregonmcm My well was high in BTUs and it was not high in NG liquids
Comment by oregonmcm on Feb 28, 2013 2:23pm
I'm not sure I understand...you're saying that your well contained a lot of energy, but did not contain very much ethane, butane, propane, and gasoline? And you have concluded that wells producing these substances, which are products of liquids rich natural gas, are less profitable than wells producing only methane?
Comment by DROG1 on Feb 28, 2013 2:26pm
The guy is clearly a lost cause. Just hit ignore.

oregonmcm the chief complaint here has been mgm would have to builf interstructure to seperate the NGLs from the NG and that would take years to do and a large amount of money. [ that is the big holdback with the Utica shale down here in Ohio ] so why would you people want a high NG content ? I begining to think all you guys are hust highered rookies
Comment by farml1234 on Feb 28, 2013 2:59pm
opps NGL content
Comment by DROG1 on Feb 28, 2013 3:02pm
farm, From your posts you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. It seems you live in close proximity to the Utica shale and for some reason you think that makes you an expert on the oil business. Please do some reading before you call anyone else a rookie. Buy a copy of Oil 101 by Morgan Downey and you'll be well on your way to no longer embarissing yourself on this forum.
Comment by farml1234 on Feb 28, 2013 3:14pm
DROG1 Yes i live very close to the big Utica shale build up and it is going to cost well over a billion dollars [ maybe 2 billion ] . We have a number of people here that want high NGL NG for some stupid reason , must be the canadian dumb berries they eat. All MGM needs is oil and NG forget the big NGLs bs   Hey not all people are stupid down here , just the ones in the white house
Comment by oregonmcm on Feb 28, 2013 3:38pm
I just want to make this as clear as I possibly can:   You believe MGM is interested in dry gas and not NGLs.   You believe this because you believe that purifying NGLs requires expensive processing, while purifying dry gas requires no such expense.   Please read this: https://www.naturalgas.org/naturalgas/processing_ng.asp   And then read this: https://www.beatingtheindex.com ...more
Comment by farml1234 on Feb 28, 2013 3:45pm
oregonmcm Do you think people are stupid , never mind answering that question just look in a mirror ! Now if MGM gets dry NG they do not get the big oil , now what do you want BS or oil ! I want big oil and some NG with a good BTU!   GET IT
Comment by PorkChopExpress74 on Feb 28, 2013 4:34pm
If it costs you billions of dollars to put up an Ethylene Glycol Refrige plant to drop liquids out of a gas stream then your doing it wrong.  I see companies constructing them all the time and infact  I am on site quite often here in Northern British Columbia on the Montney Shale.
Comment by oregonmcm on Feb 28, 2013 4:56pm
Look, if you're just going to refuse to acknowledge that MGM is interested in liquids-rich natural gas extraction in the Canol and continue to delude yourself into thinking that you understand petrology or the petroleum industry, then I guess that's your prerogative.   BTUs are a measure of energy. This doesn't have anything to do with the cost of methane (hydrocarbons found in ...more
