Husky

COO of Husky spoke earlier today at the UBS Oil and Gas Conference. The webcast/powerpoint is available on the Husky website. There is an entire slide regarding the future "needle movers" for the company, with Rainbow and Slater River (Canol) being mentioned. There really isn't more anything more than what we already know about Husky and the Canol, however he does mentioned how appealing this play could be based on the expected mmbpoe. Additionally, he mentioned (as we already know) that there were two verticals drilled and testing completed, and that the results were encouraging enough that they felt they needed to build the all weather road so they could continue development year-round. It was also mentioned that they're currently in community consultations regarding further work to be done in 2013 and beyond.

Again, nothing overly exciting, but it's nice to see a large company like Husky actually mentioning the play and their thoughts that it could be bigger than any other play around!

I think this sums up HSE's view of the Canol. Long term play - stay thirsty.https://www.petroleumnews.com/pntruncate/808698508.shtml
