Great news from Imperial. This could give our SP a much needed boost. Imperial is considering LNG as an alternative to the MVP.

I missed that news - darn.    It's probably the FIPA agreement (Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection).  I remember that a BC First Nations band challenged it in court and lost recently.      It will give China the abillity to sue for damages if, for example,  the BC gov't prevents the Northern Gateway from being built.   ...more

Maybe the LNG will just be coming out of the Delta...the Northern Passage was used successfully this summer for transporting iron ore.  Why build a major pipeline at all may be just tie in the Beaufort delta assets and exploit those first.  MGM has a ton of land up there too still. Regards,

Sorry....it was a coal shipment not iron ore.  Regardless, openning up the Delta is becoming more likely in light of the issues relating to sea ice thickness and shrinking ice cap.  Ideally this could work as an inpediment to transporting NGL or oil to the north but the current government is looking at everything. This New Brunswick anti-fracking blockade is something to be watched ...more
