The Power Crunch in China is not getting better !!!!
The Electrical power crunch has been slowly coming for years and now has reached a critical situation in China. Small business is suffering, unemployement, and rising costs of raw material is slowing the second largest economy (China) in the world. This is a long term problem and is not going to go away. China produces 87% of the world supply of MG. This is electrically smelted and the production of grid electricity cannot be rapidly increased. China is just the first country to run into lthe electricity shortage road block. The G7 countrys will all have this problem with the wide spread use of Electrical cars and the electrification of the World economy.
The shortage of Mg is just the first of many problems the world will face with electrification of the world economy. China recovered from covid19 over 1 year ago and has not had a relapse with the covid19 D variant. This means China who according to the World Health Organization handled the Covid19 crisis better than any other country is now having post Covid19 problems before any other country. China is the Canary in the coal mine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How does this apply to MGX M? Driftwood is the at this point in time the best Mg project in North America. Three time better than the competition. 2 mine in Nevada are operation and 5 years ago thse mines where boarderline profitable. They are now doing Very well. In BC, Bay Mag is the only operating mine and is very, very near the end of mine life. This privately held company was recently bought by a German company, who is the worlds larges manufacturer of refractory's and operator of refractory's. Bay Mag now has a state of the art refractory brought up dated by the new owner but is a very, very near end of mine life project. Hmmmmmm Driftwood is 35 miles from Bay Mag. Interesting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What about Electrical power supply in BC? BC has the lowest power rates of any juridiction in North America. There is also Kitimat. Kitimat is a large producer of Aluminum and this is a similiar process to smelting Mg. Kitimat imports Boxite and using it's large hydro electrical porject produces Aluminum. BC has several ways to produce Mg metal available and all the resources to do so. BC is mining friendly and pro Mg.
A mining permit for Driftwood is not a problem. The Native population is on board with driftwood as Driftwood met with the native population and has a good relationship with this population. This population have experience with Bay Mag and the Bay Mag operation has been a boon to the Native Population, not a problem.
Governments of North America are very much aware of the need for a large stable production base of Mg in North America. We should see Government support for Mg production.
I my opinion Driftwood is the best project and BC the best location for large scale production of Mg in North America.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL INVESTORS.
