MAGNESIUM CARBONATE

Over the years xmg has guided the Driftwood to produce an - MgO.
As mentioned in my previous posts...
Would - leaving in the carbonate in - be a better solution ?

Would it command more money - carbonate in ?
US $1350 - $1475
notice that its in ( in ton ) not metric tonne ( diff of 200 lbs )

What does MgO command ?
US $150 - $550 / ton

WHAT MIGHT WORK THE EASIEST ?  ( Pure mgCO3 )  eliminating impurities

NaCl + MGco3 = MgCl2 + NaCO3
Filter out the sodium carbonate
= pure MgCl2

NaCO3 - SOLUBLE IN WATER
When dissolved in water, sodium carbonate forms
carbonic acid and sodium hydroxide
.
Filter the sodium hydroxide
= carbonic acid ( in water ) = H2CO3

MgCl2 + H2CO3

= MgCl2 + H2CO3MgCO3 + 2HCl       ( reuse the chloride )
= Pure MgCO3

One could also fast track the process -
sell the sodium carbonate ot lithium industry.
buy co2 gas and make one's own carbonic acid. ( many companies will want ot sell their co2.

Sell sodium carbonate = $497/cdn / tonne
Buy co2 gas = $50/cdn / tonne

Those are benifical economics...
wink.

CARBON COST IN CANADA - 2022
In Canada, the federal government implemented a coordinated nation-wide carbon price, beginning at $20 per tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions (tCO2e) in 2019 and rising to $50 per tonne as of April 1, 2022. All provinces and territories must maintain a carbon price of at least $50 per tCO2e

A different take on - leaving the carbonate in -
MgCO3.

But.... i still like the ( di + tri mag hydrides )
And the fact CNL is interested in, magnesium for hydrogen storage.
Or is it more like... they like the compound molecules Mg can hold with ( H + O )
As a fuel for reactors....?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All the years that have past - wanting to produce an, MgO.
WHILE LEAVING THE CARBONATE IN.... offers lots more $$$$$ and options.
Even food grade, medical grade - MgCO3.

Cheers....

I could provide many more acid reactions with..... Mg - MgCO3
But... i'll leave it to the junior.

I've covered many options.
Hopefully one hits the bullseye.
BEEN YEARS + YEARS =  SINCE I'VE SEEN A STOCK SHOW SOME LOVE...
SEEN MANY WONDERFUL PROJECTS SLIP AWAY....
NOT FAIR AT ALL.
