ALLEN - Mg CARBONATE

To reply to you Allen...
It's not always about you... tease.
I'm backing up what i said.
USA -  is a dominate player for - LNG.
You say you're a fuel expert - eh ?
lol

Magesnium carbonate - or - nano mgco3 -  which is all the more pricey.
All these years xmg has fiddles with - mgo -
All those reports... anddriftwood still sits.

MgCo3 - commands far more than simple - Mgo.
Keeping the carbon in.

They'd  only have to deal with....
silica, iron, aluminum,.calcium.
crush and float.

Suppose 1 tonne of Mg Carbonate out of China costs $1,500 usd.
FOB -  one still has to pay the, shipping, port  of entry fees,  tariffs and perhaps other fees to clear goods.

$1,500 usd to cdn ( 1.30 multiplyer )
= $1,950 cdn
+ delivery / transportation to your warehouse - i'll omit - though transport costs are quite pricey )

I'll just use ( CBP formal entry - 0.3464 % ) coming into Canada....

For a formal entry (goods valued at more than $2,500), importers are required to pay 0.3464% of the value of the goods. According to CBP, the minimum MPF cost of a formal entry is $27.75.Jun 27, 2022

i'll just use the 1 tonne as example...
( yes, under the $2,500 but for example sake )

$1,950  cdn
x 0,3454 =  $675
= $2,625 cdn

So a Canadian purchaser buying from China...
would be dealing in this price bracket or more....

Plenty of way factor ( proft / cost )for a junior to play with....
Excuses waiting for better prices is...?

60,000 tonnes a year...
~ 12 months
= 5,000 tonnes month
= 167 tonnes day

How did i fare with my own calculations ?
Here's a broker site -

I walked thorugh the phases of testing a product ( mineral )  valued @ $1,500 usd.
Conversion to CDN  with their costs and services -

Value (USD)
$1,500.00 USD
Exchange Rate
1.2983
Value for Customs
$1,947.45 CAD
Customs HST
5%
$97.37 CAD
Customs Clearance
$218.00 CAD
Customs Clearance HST
5%
$10.90 CAD
Administration Fee (CAD)
3.5%
$11.42 CAD

Grand Total Fees (CAD)
$337.69 CAD

$1,947.45
+ $337.69
= $2,285.14
+ transport to ( business location ) which can run quite high due to ( labor + diesel fuel prices )
Could one tack on another $500 - $800 ?

Hence... producing Mgco3 local = could be quite advantageous.
If junior's run costs are kept tight.

I used the customs calculator - step 1 - B.C as delivery location - purchasing from China.

Now.. .could one pull forward the - MgO - flowsheet from years back
and make a comparison between - mgo + mgco3 ?

Using a swap out style ( HCL ) conversion.
And... then reintroducing the carbon back into the mgo.
To rid of the imuprities. ( could be a wuicker path ) than... calcining.

Cheers.
