JUBILEE MTN - SILVER GIANT MINE - ASIDE OF DRIFTWOOD

What's in the ores of Silver Giant mine which is aside of Driftwood ?
Carbonate gangue Barite Quartz Pyrit e Dark Siliciou s Gangue Chalcopyrite Sphalerite Bornite Galena Minerals (x,y,z )

Can't help but think...
Could the mine portal at Giant be a perfect access into Driftwoods other ore lenses ?
wink.

Here's... an interesting report -
Mineral assessment - ores from - Silver Giant Mine.

They mention an abundance of the purple mineral found in specific lenses.

I performed a quick search, just for shhh's and giggles,
to see if -  Zinc - can alter it's color to a purple pink...  it does.

Here's a photo of Zinc carbonate -
Driftwood + Silver Giant - is well endowed with, carbonates.
So... if the Silver Giant mine hosts zinc.. what are the chancesDriftwood does - too ?
Zinc air battery ? lol

A REPORT ON THE MINERALOGY OF 600092
THE SILVER GIANT MINE anal ADJACENT  CLAIMS  ( NOTICE - ADJACENT CLAIMS )

EXCERPTS - ( wondering why so much zinc was found in - tailings )
I t was expressed by Br. R.1I. Thompson and Dr. H. ?. Warren that a grey coppertmineral) might be present i n thi s suite . I t was thought that thi s opinion was based on the megoscopic evidence of azurit e and malachite occuring together i n the barite matrix. This mineral was extensively sought•

A composite mill tailing of this ore was §lso obtained with the suite ef eres. Information was given that a good percentage (approximately 50%) of the zinc i n the origina l head sample of the mill was lost  in the tailing . Associations of the zlne mineral were noted throughout the suite of ore to give seme indicatio n ef why thi s los s might occur. Time di d net permit the writer to superpan the tailing s and make sections ef the mineralized  tip .

This mineralegraphlc study was carrie d eut In the Department ef Geology at the Universit y of Britis h Columbia, under the supervision of Dr. H. V. Warren, Dr. R. M. Thompson, and Mr. J . McDougal. the cooperation , advice and suggestions given by these members of the instructiona l staf f was greatl y appreciated. The writer i s also indebted to Mr. J . A. Dennan fo r hi s excellen t instructio n i n the technique ef mounting and polishin g sections; and to Mr. W. W. Deans, Stnd Mr. E. Dodson fo r thei r effort s i n cuttin g sections i n preparation fo r mounting.

DRIFTWOOD IS ON THE WEST SIDE OF - JUBILEE MTN ( wango )
The Silve r Giant Mine i s locate *  n the Spillimacheen River Valle y on the west side of Jubilee Mountain an«L approximately eight miles by roa* from Spillimacheen. (see Map Inset)

PAGE - 7 -
Shows a hand drawn rendition of the Giant Mine Open Cut...
I can't help but think - could it be the same open cut in photos that i captured form ,satelite ?
The dang hand drawn image shown in colors, on page 7, does resemble the open cut bluffs near Drfitwoods western depoist.

OMG -  they mention bluffs.... ( page 8 )
Exposed Bluffs...
They must be describing the same bluffs as the satelite images i posted.

In the colored map they provide in pdf - they point out the minerlaization occures in the slates which is represented as - purple coloration on the map - so, i would have ot assume the zinc is in the slates. And, galena and copper too, along with, minerals x,y,z.

My owns thoughts are...
Sulphide slates - meet - alkai carbonates = bleed out of other minerals emphaizing thier colors in the carbonates and converitng to a carbonate - such as the example photo i posted - above.

Exposed i n bluff s on the west side of the mountain i s the ligh t coloured, almost massive Jubilee limestone. Intense deformation i s evident i n the adjoining slate s and i t i s assumed that thi s deformation i s the cause of bedding being destroyed other than locally .

In addition, the 2022 list of critical minerals adds nickel and zinc to the list while removing helium, potash, rhenium and ...Feb 22, 2022

zinc  - spot prices - tonne - usd

Zinc,  $2,955.50 usd
( $3,842 / cdn )

Well, few more tid bits... found.
I still won't rule out ree's, since the 2001 assay report did identify a few .
But... zinc seems to be quite prevalent arounf the Giant mine.
And Driftwood is right aside.

Silver Giant Mine has the underground portals...
Report mention the - Bluffs.... and outlines the puple shales which host - zinc, copper and minerals - ( x,y,z, )

Very Intersting....

In Dr Popes research paper he mentions the Nelson Formation which includes the Driftwood, hosting the purple shales and dolomites - those lenses / lithos are approx 200m thick.

And... the purple lenses are also at surface.
Two purple showings - occurences.

Cheers...

And.. the Heino Mine with sphalertie...
Yet another zinc occurence.

Zinc as outlined above - is a critical mineral that gov'ts are in need of. ( 2022 )
Wink.
