3-D PRINTED OXIDE METAL
This is a subject that should be discussed.
Came across this last year, and earlier this year, and just recently looking at different styles.
It's a field that has literally grown by leaps and bounds.
These 3-D Metal Printers use -
OXIDE POWDERS.
Magnesium would certainly be a significant player in this arena.
Does one think furnace ?
Or... allow the lazer point to heat the oxide powder on demand ?
Oh hello.

I would say....
Magnesium and calcium oxides
could be all the more important than what most precieve...
Due to thier inherant metallurical superior alloy attributes.
I can see this sector bringing about al lsorts of new alloying.
Especially if one can mix different oxides ( carbides ) and instantly heat it with a lazer...
Gone are the days of forge furnaces - laser printing will take over.
Any junior with a desirable oxide metal depoist - should rethink their strategy.
MgO Iisalready with in the ore.
It's just a matter of purifying and making the MgO high purity.
Which is where peroxide to hydroxide could assist on the cheap.
Of course... one would need to test it first.
2 ways of looking at it ....
Supplier of oxide metals ( nanao powders )
Actual owner of the metal oxides and with own 3D Printer device gaining contracts for metal components.
Goodness.... 43% grade Mgo = 946 pounds
Target a high end aviation small component which might command $40/ piece
( weighs 1/4 pound ) = 4 components per pound.
Cost dependent upon refining Mgo purity and costs to produce using 3-D Laser.
EXAMPLE -
946 lbs per tonne
x 1/4 lb
= 3,784 componets per tonne ( based on 43 % grade )
1,000 tonnes of ore.. .would ring in with near same profits as what mgx was looking at
trying to make a metal with furnace.
Less mining...
more emphasis on, end product and component contracts.
I came across a commercial grade 3D metal printer starting at - $800,000 k
This would be the smartest way....
to maximize profits per each OXIDE ore tonne.
Maybe i saved the best - IDEA - for last.
Wink.
Cheers....
